Who?

All Quirky Pickle site members with an active log-in are eligible and must submit from that registered email address. (Family members in the same household may use the same email address.)

​

We invite art submissions by kids, teens, and adults of all talent ranges and passion levels, from hobbyists to professionals.

 

Kids as young as 4 to adults of all ages can make a difference through sharing their creativity and expression.​​​​

Why?

​

We celebrate originality, creativity, and freedom of expression from people of all ages, and encourage you to let your ideas flow!

 

You get to be a part of doing good through your designs - Quirky Pickle donates a minimum of 10% of all net profits from all of our products and services to literacy and communication initiatives across America through the Quirky Pickle Literacy Fund.

Other reasons to submit your art might be:

  • Get seen and featured as a contributing artist.

  • Share your designs with kids and adults and make them smile.

  • Earn rewards such as free printed stickers of your own designs to keep or share, plus Quirky Pickle Points which convert to gift cards for use on Quirky Pickle brand products in our shop.

What?

​Create ANYTHING your mind dreams up to be a great sticker idea!

  • It does not have to be some fantastical, detailed drawing using fancy methods.

  • We're not looking for professional design work.

  • Imagine, "Would someone else think this is a cool sticker?" 

​

Beyond just drawing pictures you could also do:

  • Modern art or pop art design

  • Text/phrases

  • Bilingual stickers to help others learn new languages

​

Full sticker-sheet sets:

  • A theme or set of characters -- If you send 6-8 stickers in a set, your designs may become that month's Featured Sticker Sheet for one or more of our Quirky Pickle Sticker Pals age groups, & you get more rewards as a Featured Creator!

Love the idea of designing stationery for people to write letters with actual pens and put into the real mailbox?

  • Create some imagery and use any software of your choice to do the layout (with or without lines), and submit the stationery in PDF format. 

​

Choose to submit designs all ages would enjoy, or create for a specific Quirky Pickle Sticker Pals age group, as follows:

  • Ages 4-5

  • Ages 6-8

  • Ages 9-11

  • Ages 12-14

  • Ages 15-17

  • Adults - Ages 17+

Nothing discriminatory, hateful, or inappropriate will be accepted.

When?

Quirky Pickle Creators is an on-going project dedicated to inspiring people to be creative and contribute their efforts to Quirky Pickle's mission.

 

With dreams of only using ORIGINAL Quirky Pickle designs (not the same stickers you see over and over everywhere), we want our own Quirky Pickle Pals (that's YOU!) to be a part of creating those images!

As we grow our own collection of original Quirky Pickle stickers, we hope this also reflects our growth in our ability to make financial contributions to the improvement of literacy and communication skills for people of all ages across the country.  

How?

​TO SUBMIT DESIGNS:

  • Digital images must be minimum 1200 dpi in PNG, JPG, EPS, PSD, or PDF format.

  • Please sign your artwork.

  • Email to makefriends@quirkypickle.com

    • Subject Line: I MADE THIS FOR QUIRKY PICKLE PALS!

  • Email should also include:

    • Artist's name

    • Age (or Quirky Pickle age group)

    • Short bio (quick info about artist, including home state)

    • Headshot of the artist (if desired by artist/ok with parents)

    • Statement that you allow the image and bio to be featured and used by Quirky Pickle without restrictions, including but not limited to posts on Quirky Pickle's websites and social media channels, as well as printing image designs on stickers and stationery.

  • Attach your artwork submissions to the email (up to 8 per email, see below for specifications).

    • Stationery should be attached as a PDF file for each design, and in its own email submission.

    • Themed sticker sheet image sets should be attached to one email, with no other submissions in that email.

    • Single sticker design images can be sent in the same email, up to 8 images at a time.

  • Do NOT submit a second bio or photo beyond the first submission for the same person. You MAY submit artwork for more than one person in your household/family, such as for minors, using the same registered email address.

  • You'll get email confirmation upon approval of your design & your Quirky Pickle Points balance.

​​​​​​​​ARTIST ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND REWARDS:

  • Quirky Pickle Creators with artworks accepted for printing will be featured on our website and social media channels, with a mini bio and option to include a photo (at creator or parents' discretion).

  • Your image(s) should always be signed, and you will always receive credit as the creator of that image. By submitting any artwork(s), you (the artist, and also parents if the artist is a minor) are giving full and unrestricted use of the image(s) to Quirky Pickle, for the purposes of designing stickers, stationery, and other Quirky Pickle merchandise. Items created from your images will be printed and included in Quirky Pickle packs that go out to subscribers all across the United States. Some items using your images may also be sold in the Quirky Pickle Sticker Shop, which will help in the mission to raise money and awareness for literacy and education projects nationwide.

  • Compensation for artist submissions comes in the form of Quirky Pickle Points, which can be converted to Quirky Pickle gift cards for use in our shop or for you to gift to friends and family, at a minimum threshold of 25 Quirky Pickle Points (maximum of 250 QPP allowed to be cashed in per year, per artist). (1 approved image = 1 Quirky Pickle Point)

​We're going to love what you make because you're doing it for Quirky Pickle, to show off your talents, to support literacy awareness, for the rewards program, or for your own other reasons!​​​

  • ProCreate is a beautiful app which we use for most of our designs. It does cost $12.99 but there is never another charge beyond that purchase. There are also TONS of free apps for doing digital artwork, so use whatever works best for you!​
